Recently, I found a lot of unique sterling silver pieces and will be photographing them tomorrow. Here are the new pieces: a beautiful lizard brooch, a unique cowboy/horse brooch, a very large dragonfly brooch, and a large dragon-looking Mexican pendant. I also have two beautiful Aztec Mayan calendar pendants that will be photographed and listed soon. Once I have these up on my shoppe, I will let you know.

After getting back from vacation, I have been VERY busy! So, let's jump right into today's blog!

First off... I know, this is not jewelry. But, is this cool or what? I found this vintage piece and just had to have it for our shop. It is a very tall (17 inches) and heavy (5 pounds) teapot from India. It has not been cleaned because I like the aged look; just my preference. But, you could always have it cleaned.

Now, here's what really grabbed my attention: look at the beautiful detailed floral etching throughout this piece. Amazing! I have it sitting in our kitchen right now (haven't stored it yet), and have already received a bunch of curious questions and complements about it! So, I think I found a winner, as some folks say.

Oh, almost forgot.. the little teapot lid opens and is attached. This vintage teapot makes me feel like I travelled to India and found it in a tiny store in the marketplace.

Sometimes I like a little bling but I don't won't it too flashy. Now, this simple, yet elegant handmade necklace is perfect for the summer!

First, let's see what it's made of: turquoise, teardrop shells; blue Swarovski crystal beads; and black glass beads. The teardrop shells have a nice shimmer to them and freely move on the copper colored metal wire.

Second, how does it feel? Well, it's a good length - 19 inches. Lays nicely on the neck. You probably don't want to wear it in the water, but you could easily wear it with your bathing suit cover-up, or even at night when you go to that favorite seafood restaurant!

For me, I don't wear too much jewelry when I'm out next to the beach, because I might just pop into the ocean and the salt water probably wouldn't be too good for this necklace! (also, sharks are attracted to shiny things!!) Maybe soon I'll talk about my shark encounter at Myrtle Beach SC a few years ago....

And.... we're back! Today, we continue looking at jewelery that makes you dream of living at the beach!

This is a super cute bracelet made of silver plated memory wire. It lets you expand the bracelet to fit your wrist, but when you take it off... POOF! It goes back to it's original form!

Now, the colors are quite nice: tans and greens. It will go with almost any outfit. Feels good on the wrist (beads are smooth).

Looking forward to our summer beach trip. I just like to sit on the beach, under a HUGE umbrella, reading a book and looking out at the ocean. It helps me to come up with new jewelery designs for my store. :)
